22 More Channels Added to DirecTV Out of Home Streaming Line Up

DIRECTV has announced that it has added another 22 channels of content for customers to stream on devices when not at home. This streaming service allows customers to watch channels online, when not at home in front of their TVs. These can be watched on smart phones, tablets, or even laptops when on the go.

The new channels offered brings DIRECTV’s lineup total to almost 90 channels of content. Their offerings now include  TruTV, the Smithsonian Channel,  Cartoon Network, TCM, MTV and MTV 2, CMT, CNN, Galavision, HLN, , Nickelodeon, OWN, Palladia, Spike TV, BET, TBS, TNT, TV Land, UniMas, Comedy Central, Univision and VH 1.

Customers can use the DIRECTV Mobile app, or they can use the DIRECTV.com website and access content by signing in with their username and password. DIRECTV offers 120 channels of streaming content available in the home, if the customer’s receiver is connected to the internet. While there is some overlap in the content offered for in home and out of home streaming, not all channels offered in home is available for on the go users at this time.

DIRECTV has stated that they are working on increasing the number of channels of content available for out of home users, and more announcements concerning this will be made when they become available to the public.
